LITERACY WEEK 2021

This week OLSS celebrated our first ever ‘Literacy Week’. The focus was on using literacy skills in an informal and fun way. Throughout the week, there were several activities taking place in the students’ English classes. Some of the events included a ‘Tea Party’ where students were encouraged to read a book of choice, literacy ‘Countdown’ competitions, Kahoots and short films. There was a special event to end the week for some of our junior and senior students with brilliant storytelling from Niall De Burca. Thanks to our English department for organising these events and to Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet for helping us organise Niall’s visit. Our students had a really enjoyable week!
