3rd Year History Trip

3rd Year students were taken on on a History Trip to The Jackie Clarke Museum today where they learned how Jackie Clarke became a genius collector of artefacts of Irish History, spanning over 400 years.

Students had a particular interest in the exhibition material relating to the 1798 Rebellion, The War of Independence and The Civil War, as these are all topics covered in their Junior Cycle History.

Many thanks to the staff of the Jackie Clarke Museum who gave an excellent presentation and made history come alive with their stories of local historical interest.

A very enjoyable day was had by all.
