An Garda Siochana Specialist Unit Open Day

Six students from 5th year were lucky enough to be chosen to travel to Westmanstown Sports Centre as part of An Garda Siochana Specialist Unit Open Day. Líle O Donoghue, Lauryn Barrett, Oisín Reilly, James Flannery, Rachel Boylan and Aoibhe Ginnelly travelled to Dublin on the 12th October with Garda Margaret Sweeney (who liaised with the school in organising this trip), Garda David Reilly and Sergeant Martha Lohan.

The students saw the specialised units at work, experienced some up to date technology and saw the search dogs and riot Gardaí in action. The students and staff in Our Lady's really appreciate the time and effort that went in to organising this visit.
