EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES IN OLSS

Recently in our school, students and staff celebrated European Day of Languages. European Day of Languages is an initiative of the Council of Europe and is celebrated around the world every year by schools, businesses, and organisations all over Europe, and indeed the world.

As part of our celebrations, students took part in mini language lessons, tried their luck with multilingual tongue twisters, read projects about the European countries all around us, and even got their photo taken at our ‘Europe - Be Part of the Picture’ stand. Well done to all the students and teachers involved in preparing the day. It was a big success.

"The European Day of Languages reminds us that learning a language is a step towards openness and respect for other cultures."

Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
