3rd YEAR HISTORY TRIP

Our third year history students visited The Jackie Clarke Collection on October 24th. They learned about how local Ballina man Jackie Clarke, a genius collector, collected over 100,000 items over his life time.

Many of the exhibits pertain to areas of The Junior Cycle curriculum which include The 1798 Rebellion, The Great Famine, The Irish War of Independence and The Civil War. Many thanks to the staff who were so welcoming and courteous and made the visit a thoroughly enjoyable learning experience.

As always, well done to our students for getting involved on the day and for behaving so admirably. Thanks to Ms Earley and Mrs Creane for organising the trip and accompanying the students.
