SCIENCE WEEK 2023
To celebrate science week there were lots of activities in OLSS.
- 1st Year students took part in a Coding Workshop and had the opportunity to build their own websites. Thank you to Eoin McCaffrey from ‘Whizzkid Training’ and TY students Julia, Peru, Lena and Jana for helping out.
- 2nd Year students took part in some model building and dissections in science class.
- Our TY group were working with Alison from ‘Forensic Fun’ on the ‘JFK Assassination Challenge’ where they were introduced to ballistics, gun shot residue, photographic analysis, fingerprinting and autopsy reporting to try and solve the famous case using their analytical skills! In science class they made paper rollercoasters and tested them out using marbles which was a great success!
